Invincible: Number One After 10 Years

You may already be aware of the campaign by Michael Jackson fans to get the latest studio album, Invincible, to reach #1. We’re happy to let you know that the efforts paid off, and the album reached #1 on Amazon.

The album was released in 2001. Despite the lack of promotional support and Sony’s weak performance in this regard, it reached #1 in 11 countries and sold 13 million copies. Ten years later, this album—voted by Billboard readers as the best album of the past 10 years—became Amazon’s best-selling album.

Before Michael’s death, his fans were known as the most powerful and loyal fans in the world. They managed to keep that title even after the death of their legend. They are happy that they can give Michael what he deserves. They were able to bring Michael’s name back to the Gardner Elementary School auditorium and even to the MTV Pioneer Award. They prevented a disturbing documentary from being aired by the Discovery Channel about how Michael died, and they stopped many media outlets from using the insulting term “wacko-jocko.”

And now, a gift for him in the tenth year of the release of the album that, according to a wide range of fans, is Michael Jackson’s masterpiece and his best work: Invincible is at the top—exactly where it should be.
