Cirque du Soleil Opens in the Presence of Michael Jackson’s Mother and Children

At 8 p.m. on Sunday in Montreal, Canada (this morning in Tehran time), the unforgettable Michael Jackson tour opened in the presence of the family and Michael’s children, with 13,000 spectators.

Catherine, the family’s mother, and her sons—Tito, Jackie, and Marlon—along with three of Michael’s children; Prince, Paris, and Blanket; as well as Jafar and Jermajesty, the sons of Jermain; were the members of the Jackson family who attended this event.

Some people who had come to watch the first official show of this tour had white gloves and a trailer jacket. In the midst of the exhausting court sessions, the Jackson family and Michael Jackson fans found time to rest. Some say the Jackson family won’t return home until next Sunday, and it is expected that their seats in Conrad Murray’s trial will remain empty. In this regard, on Saturday, October 8, a loud and high-profile memorial concert for Michael Jackson will be held at Weller. The Jackson family will also travel to Europe to attend that concert.

It has been said that Catherine Jackson, just a few days ago, accepted—at the request and insistence of the Michael Jackson Foundation and the Cirque du Soleil managers—to attend the opening of this tour.

Seven years ago, Cirque du Soleil approached Michael to obtain permission to stage a tour based on his songs and videos. Michael himself was a die-hard fan of Cirque du Soleil, and now his foundation plays a direct role in the unforgettable tour. Cirque du Soleil and the Michael Jackson Foundation each contribute half to these shows.

What draws a lot of attention on stage is a tree-like structure placed there as a symbol of the “Giving Tree of Neverland.” Michael believed this tree inspires him to create music.

Michael’s photo is present on stage throughout the show and is sometimes the focus of the performance.

The brothers backstage said that this show contains Michael Jackson’s spirit.

Tito: “Michael’s message was for us to understand how important love is.”

Jackie also said they were especially impressed by the performance of Gone Too Soon.

Next, we invite your attention to the promotional video released for this tour.
