Meeting Michael Jackson: A Happy Memory for New Edition

American R&B group New Edition is celebrating its 31st year in the music industry. To mark the occasion, MTV asked them in an interview about their best memories. They say that their meeting with the King of Pop is one of the best moments that has stayed with them.

Ralph Tresvant says it was very enjoyable to hear their first song on the radio. Ricky Bell, another member of the group, confirms Ralph’s words and continues:

“Ralph told me my first choice. But my second good memory is meeting Michael Jackson. I was invited to his house. I went to his mansion and watched him come down the stairs. Seeing the kind of person who has influenced your whole life is an unforgettable moment.”
