Jermaine Jackson Saved Michael’s Life

Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s older brother, says that he once saved him from drowning. They were living in Jermaine’s villa on the Malibu coast in the west of Los Angeles. Michael had been pulled under water due to the tide while swimming at night. Jermaine talks about the incident:

“I realized he wasn’t visible in the water. I panicked and ran into the water with my clothes on.”

After Michael was taken to the hospital, doctors determined that one of the blood vessels in his lung had ruptured. Jermaine says the situation was extremely critical and Michael was suffering from shortness of breath.

“If we had taken him to the hospital a little later—or if I had pulled him out of the water a little later—he might not have survived.”
