Amy Winehouse Has Died

Amy Jade Winehouse, the 27-year-old British singer and songwriter who rose to fame and success by combining electronic styles with jazz, soul, rhythm and blues, died yesterday at her home in London. Police are investigating the cause of her death.

As a fan of the King of Pop, she had said about him:

“I could never decide whether I wanted to marry Michael Jackson or be Michael Jackson himself. I don’t care about what people say about him, because he’s a true genius. That’s it! His childhood was taken from him, and that’s why he surrounds himself with children. When you’re around children, you can be a child and pretend that life is something magical—and then you don’t have to be one of those people who go to work every day and sweat through their clothes. I completely understand him.”
