Angry fans upset with ticket sales process for Michael Jackson memorial concert

Those people who went to the Global Events website to buy tickets for the Michael Jackson memorial concert in Wales are speaking out angrily about the process.

First, they have to register. They must specify the price they can afford for a ticket, and then say how much they are willing to donate to charity. They are faced with the message that the more they pay to charity, the better their chances are of getting a ticket. Ticket sales will not begin until August 4.

Tickets are priced between £55 and £289. The father of three children from Cardiff, who visited this website to buy tickets for all five members of his family, says:

"It’s like a lottery for the wealthy. Ticket prices are very high, and besides that you also have to donate money to charity. I’m a member of the MS patient support community, but it’s wrong that decisions about you are made based on how much money you can spend on charity."

People on Facebook have also expressed their anger. One of them said, "What an outrageous insult! Disgusting." Another wrote, "Do they think people are that stupid that they treat us like this?"

On the other hand, Jermaine, Michael’s brother—who previously opposed holding this concert because of its timing clashing with the murder trial of Michael—has claimed on Twitter that the company organizing the concert offered him money to take part in the project. Jermaine says that even if the concert timing changes, he will not cooperate with them due to the behavior the company has shown.

The "Michael Forever" memorial concert is set to be held on October 8 in Cardiff, Wales, with the support of the Jackson family and the presence of the biggest stars in music.
