Crazy Michael Jackson Fans

An article by Reverend Barbara Kauffman: The mourning of Michael Jackson’s fans over his death is not something ordinary. Often, people who have passed are remembered with respect, and their good deeds and services are appreciated. Usually, that mourning comes to an end. But mourning for Michael Jackson has no finish line, because controversy, the media, and those who don’t truly know Michael have tainted the path. If, tomorrow, the real Michael Jackson were introduced to the world and people finally realized how they had been fooled by the media over the years—and with their eyes closed, believed every word in the newspapers—then fans could have exhaled with relief, carried out normal mourning, and ultimately healed from this pain. So it’s important to understand that perhaps those “crazy Michael Jackson fans” have something important to say. If some of their behavior is hostile, and their anger is sometimes destructive and never seems effective or pleasant, it’s because they are truly trying to protect Michael—and themselves—from a cruel world that treats its greatest treasures in the worst possible way. They want to keep the world safe from trickery and lies, and keep the truth alive. They want to live Michael’s legacy, heal the world, and build a better one. They hold up a mirror to the world and say, “Look what happened to this man! Are you happy with what you see?” They do this for Michael because it’s something Michael did. And that’s why he was crucified. They want to keep humanity alive and restore salvation. Maybe it’s time we understand what they are mourning for—and maybe, if we let go of our judgments, we can listen to them.” Source: eMJey.com / innermichael.com
