Michael Jackson’s children help Japan
Two days ago, three of Michael’s children—Prince, Paris, and Blanket—along with their aunt La Toya, went to the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles to support the Red Cross donation drive on the way to helping Japan. On that day, a celebration was held by the company organizing charity events, GBK. Michael’s children ate candy and chocolates like other kids and played. 20% of the proceeds from this event will be donated to help Japan through the Red Cross.
At the end of the event, Blanket smashed a piñata full of candy and sweets with only two hits and ran to his sister to tell her he succeeded and to say what had spilled out of the piñata.
During the event, La Toya told OK magazine’s reporter how important it was for her late brother to have a generous and open-hearted spirit.
"My brother, their father, helped all people. He gave 400 million dollars of his money to charities, and I support every penny. I think it’s very important that they know what their father did for the world and that they should continue his path and keep it alive."
La Toya said the kids asked her how they could have a share in helping Japan. She brought them with her to this charity event.
"They asked, can we send our clothes to them? It’s really adorable."
La Toya says that in the nearly two years since Michael’s death, the family has never left the children alone.
"We’re always there with them as much as possible and spend time with them. I go home and play and talk with them to make sure everything is okay."
