Jury sees Michael Jackson’s film and photos

You read that the prosecution wanted to show the jury the film This Is It and Michael Jackson’s autopsy photos in order to prove Michael Jackson’s health at the time of his death. Yesterday, Judge Michael Pastor accepted both requests from the prosecution. But his condition for showing the photos is that they must not be horrifying. One of these photos shows Michael lying on a hospital bed fully covered, while in the rest of the photos his body is completely nude. The judge made his request clear in court: “Certain parts of these photos should not be shown.” Another decision by the judge regarding showing the film This Is It in court was also made. Thus, the performances of two songs—The Way You Make Me Feel and Earth Song—recorded only a few hours before Michael’s death will be shown in court. Conrad Murray’s lawyers have claimed that Michael was sick and depressed and took his own life. But the prosecution says this film shows Michael full of energy and enthusiasm for life. The judge also said that the prosecution can subpoena women who had relationships with the accused Conrad Murray—an married doctor with several children—but he does not want the jury to hear anything about Murray’s membership in a strip club for women and his relationship with the two women who worked there. This successful day for the prosecution ended with another ruling. Conrad Murray’s lawyers are not allowed access to Michael Jackson’s financial information. The lawyers had claimed that Michael was depressed due to severe financial troubles. To prove this, they had requested an inspection of the Michael Jackson Foundation’s financial records.
