Lasting Apollo moments at a New York museum

From February 8 to May 1, a New York City museum will host an exhibition of Apollo’s lasting moments from his 75-year life. The exhibition, titled Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing (nothing like the real thing), is being launched by the Apollo Theater in partnership with the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

In 1967, Michael and his brothers, as the group “The Jackson Five,” won the Apollo Theater talent contest in New York City. This music hall has been a turning point in the lives and careers of many Black artists, including James Brown, the father of soul music, and Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. Without a doubt, music fans will spend valuable moments at this exhibition.
