Murray to stand trial for the King of Pop’s death

In a hearing held yesterday, the judge ruled—based on the evidence presented—that Conrad Murray will be tried on charges of the involuntary manslaughter of the King of Pop. Michael had planned to kick off his concerts in London in July 2009. He hired Dr. Murray, a cardiology specialist, to monitor his health during rehearsals and the concerts. But just a few days before the shows began, Michael died—and now Murray will be tried for his death. David Walgren said to the judge in yesterday’s remarks: "Michael Jackson died before his time. Michael Jackson is not here today because of Dr. Murray’s negligence and carelessness." The prosecutor said Murray cared more about hiding evidence against himself than saving Michael’s life.
