Catherine Jackson Interview with ABC

This morning, Catherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” program.

She said:

“Since my son passed away, I’ve had a very hard time. In court, I can’t bear looking at that man (the defendant in Michael’s murder case, Conrad Murray), but because of the love I have for my son, I have to go. Just like when they were trying him for the charge of sexual abuse, and I was there every day.”

Catherine also spoke about the Michael Foundation’s lawsuit against her business partner, Howard Mann:

“When they sue him, it’s like they’re suing me. Because I gave permission to publish that book.”

She also said that times have changed, and raising Michael’s children at age 80 isn’t like what she did at age 20.

“Michael’s children are good kids. He raised them with love and understanding. I don’t have any hardship with them, because they know how their father raised them and what kind of education he gave them, and they behave with a lot of respect and good manners. Besides that, the world has changed.”

“If it were up to me, I wouldn’t let them enter the industry at such a young age. Paris wants to be an actress, and I don’t think Michael would have allowed that. He used to talk about not having childhood, and how he wanted to play more and work less during that time.”
