Joe Jackson’s New Lawsuit Against Conrad Murray

Yesterday, Michael’s father filed a new lawsuit against the doctor accused of murdering his son in a state court. This action came after the federal judge in this case asked Joe Jackson’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, to move the lawsuit against Conrad Murray to a state judge. In this lawsuit, Joe Jackson is seeking compensation from Conrad Murray. Last year, Murray killed Michael by injecting, according to prosecutors, a large amount of the anesthetic propofol in an “unintentional” manner. In this lawsuit, a Las Vegas pharmacy that sold Conrad Murray propofol a month before Michael’s death is also named as a defendant. The drug is not for personal use and should only be used in hospitals. Experts have called the pharmacy’s act of selling such a powerful anesthetic propofol to Conrad Murray illegal. Conrad Murray has a medical license in three states: California, Nevada, and Texas. But after Michael’s death, his ability to practice was limited by prosecutors and the medical board in all three states. In his lawsuit, Joe Jackson claims that Murray was negligent in injecting propofol into his son and did not inform emergency personnel about it. Source: eMJey / AP
