James Brown’s widow talks about Michael Jackson
Journalist Charles Thomson has recently conducted an interview with James Brown’s widow, which will be published during the Christmas holidays. Tamai Ray also spoke about Michael Jackson, and sawfnews.com has made this part of the interview available to readers.
Some time ago, news agencies spread rumors that the doctor accused of Michael Jackson’s murder, Dr. Conrad Murray, had been suggested to James Brown by him. But his widow says that such claims are not true, and that Conrad Murray was never James Brown’s doctor. Tamai spoke about the relationship between Michael and them:
"Michael Jackson was a close friend of our family. We may have talked with each other about four times a year. Michael was a very good person. James had tremendous respect for him. He loved Michael, and Michael loved him. They spoke to each other like a father and son."
"I had planned to attend Michael’s funeral, but when I saw his golden casket and Al Sharpton’s speech (a civil rights activist in the Black community in the United States), the memory of my husband’s memorial service came back to me, and I couldn’t bear that moment. It was very hard for me. There were many similarities between these two ceremonies. I decided not to go to the ceremony and to mourn him in my own way."
