Catherine and Joe Jackson File a Joint Lawsuit

Catherine, 80, and Joe Jackson, 82, Michael’s parents, have jointly filed a lawsuit against the concert company AEG and Conrad Murray. The company was supposed to put on Michael’s concerts, and Dr. Murray was supposed to be the guardian of his life—yet he ended up killing him. Catherine is pursuing the company, while Joe is seeking damages from Murray. Catherine believes the company caused her son’s death by not supporting Dr. Murray.

These two petitions were combined by Brian Oxman in the Los Angeles Supreme Court. He believes that separating the two cases doesn’t make sense because they have a shared goal.
