Michael Jackson’s Bowling Shoes on Display
Next week, a pair of bowling shoes once worn by the King of Pop will be put on display in Tullamore, Ireland—right where preparations are underway to break the world record for a group “Thriller” dance.
The “Thrill The World” tradition is entering its fifth consecutive year, with participation rising from 62 people on the Toronto tour in 2006 to 22,571 people across 264 cities in 2009, representing 33 nationalities.
After the end of his 2005 trial, Michael moved from the United States to the Midlands of Ireland. He also spent four months in the Midlands of Ireland, bringing his children with him to the Tullamore bowling center. The center has kept nine pairs of shoes he wore for playing—untouched and in pristine condition ever since, and no one else has worn them since.
Now, as preparations continue to break the “Thriller” dance record in Tullamore, Michael’s shoes will also be displayed.
