Court Rules Against Joe Jackson
The court has once again ruled that Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, has no right to interfere in matters related to his work and the foundation.
Since his name was not listed in Michael’s will as an heir, after Michael’s death Joe tried to oppose the foundation’s trustees who had been appointed according to the will.
Now, the joint ruling of three judges of a California court confirms a decision previously made by Mitchell Beckloff, the judge in the Michael Jackson Foundation case, in November 2009.
The foundation’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, says he is satisfied with the ruling but not surprised: “I hope that with this ruling, the arguments will finally come to an end.”
However, Brian Oxman, Joe Jackson’s lawyer, says he will file an appeal because he believes these four judges are “making mistakes.”
