Michael Jackson’s Children at School
Prince and Paris are starting the 2010 school year at the private gifted school “Buckley” in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. Each of them has a bodyguard who stands outside the classroom and stays with them in the campus area.
Brian Oxman, Michael’s father’s lawyer and who has no official position in the Jackson family, said that Michael’s children are adapting very well to their conditions and that perhaps after some time they won’t need the presence of a bodyguard. He also said that the rumor that other students are forbidden from talking to Prince and Paris about the Jackson family is not true.
Attending classes was Prince’s idea, which was met with approval from Catherine’s grandmother. Blanket, 8 years old, stays at home.
Brian Oxman describes Paris as “ladylike and dignified” and Prince as having a “strong personality and being articulate.” He says Paris is more cautious than her older brother. Prince likes being with kids his own age and is interested in business. Oxman says that if the kids really wanted to be at school, Michael would definitely agree to it.... “Michael is proud of them.”
On the other hand, Michael’s sister Latoya, along with many members of the Jackson family, believes that entering school is too early for the children. They say it goes against Michael’s wishes. Latoya says: “I think Michael wanted the kids to be taught at home for longer so they’d be more prepared for the school environment.”
