Friedman: Lack of a Plan for Michael Jackson’s New Album

Roger Friedman, in his column about Michael’s new album—rumored to be released in two months—wrote: “None of the internal staff knows which songs will be released on this album. My sources say that several teams are working on the album. But so far, there hasn’t been any conversation with the sound engineer, Bruce Swedien (Michael’s friend and longtime collaborator), who knows about Michael’s songs from different periods of his career. Producer Randy Gerber is working on some songs, and maybe the songs Michael recorded three years ago with his friend Eddie Casio in his home studio in New Jersey are among them. On the other side, John McClain, the former executive at Sony Music, a longtime friend of the Jackson family and one of the supervisors of the Michael Jackson Foundation, is working on a number of songs along with his brother, Jackie Jackson.
