Michael’s Irish Landlord Says

After finishing his 2005 U.S. trial, Michael left the country for a while and traveled to Ireland and the Middle East. Now, the owner of the house that Michael had rented during his stay in Ireland says that if the King of Pop had stayed there longer, he would be alive today.

Paddy Dunning, who is in business, made his home available to Michael and his children in the summer of 2006. At that time, Michael was working on new songs in a studio nearby together with will.i.am. Dunning says that during his stay in Ireland, Michael was healthy and in good spirits and ordered light meals. He ate a special Irish porridge for breakfast, and his food during the day was fish, chicken, and vegetables.

Dunning adds that he has many happy memories of Michael:

"One night, our studio time happened. Michael was drumming, I was playing guitar, and Neffio—the producer—was playing the keyboard. And our jam found a rhythm. Neffio took that rhythm toward 'Billie Jean.' Playing 'Billie Jean' with Michael Jackson was mind-blowing. I never thought I would do something like that in my life."

Michael’s residence in the town of Rahmounte, Ireland, is now a public hangout. Tourists can live in Michael’s former home by paying $1,500. Paddy Dunning never gets tired of telling his stories about the King of Pop to each and every guest.
