Jennifer Batten Talks About a Creative Outburst

Jennifer Batten was Michael’s guitarist on stage for 10 years during his world tours. In a recent interview, she said she will never forget her first day meeting Michael. She also said her favorite song to perform alongside Michael was Human Nature.

“He and everything connected to him was beautiful and magnificent. His live performance on stage will always be in front of my eyes. Being on stage with him felt like a fantasy. There were 50,000 people there who hadn’t come to see me.”

“He was a burst of creativity. A trendsetter. But he was also a beautiful person. He was always gentle and calm. Even though he was always under pressure, he never snapped. That’s a standout quality.”
