Request to Delay the Start of Proceedings

Michael Jackson’s alleged involuntary manslaughter doctor, Conrad Murray’s lawyer, has asked the court to delay the start of proceedings for his client’s case. A hearing for this trial is scheduled for June 14. The lawyer says the prosecution has not yet provided them with all the files related to this case. Contrary to this claim, David Gibson, a spokesperson for the California prosecutor’s office, announced that they have submitted 3,100 files—including medical documents and reports—to Conrad Murray’s lawyers.

Gibson said: “Whatever we have, they have too.” He also said that the investigation process in this case is “ongoing,” and whenever evidence is obtained, it will be provided to the legal team.
