A New Michael Video Game

This summer, a new video game featuring Michael will be released to the market by Ubisoft Entertainment. In this game—which is still unnamed—fans will be able to dance with Michael. In a part of the game, they can learn the dance techniques of the King of Pop, including the moonwalk. The release of this game will likely coincide with the release of a new collection of songs by the King of Pop later this November.

This game is among the first to use a motion-tracking camera system, and it will be released later this year for Microsoft Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

John Branca, an official at the Michael Jackson Foundation, says: “Michael has always pushed the boundaries of technology to provide fans with an unforgettable entertainment experience—whether in his videos, songs, or concerts. And now, with this new product, we can bring Michael into people’s homes while fully respecting his artistic talent. Children, their parents, all family members, and friends can all enjoy Michael’s music and dance together as an exciting and innovative form of entertainment.”

John McClain, another official at the Michael Jackson Foundation, adds: “No artist can bring such fun and entertaining energy to the stage like Michael. His God-given gifts in music and dance are things that the new generation of fans will appreciate even more than the older ones. If he were here, he would have used this same method to promote his art. Everyone in the family can enjoy this game. Michael was very enthusiastic about this idea.”

The president of Ubisoft’s board of directors has also said: “We are very happy to create a game based on songs and dance—one of the most extraordinary stage performers of all time.”
