Thousands of sunflowers for Michael

Sunflowers have grown at Michael’s tomb.

On Friday, Jason Lewin, owner of a sunflower-growing flower shop in San Diego, placed 2,000 sunflower stems in baskets in front of the entrance doors of the Michael marble mausoleum at Forest Lawn. Lewin says that when he heard about the complaint from Michael’s ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late Elvis Presley, asking why only a few baskets of flowers, some candles, and a few gifts were placed at Michael’s grave inside the mausoleum, he decided to bring sunflower stems worth between $3,000 and $5,000 to Michael’s tomb.

Lewin had heard that sunflowers were the King of Pop’s favorite. He filled his truck with flower baskets and unloaded his cargo at Michael’s mausoleum three hours later.

The mausoleum guards told him to take his gift inside and place it next to Michael’s grave.
