Samuel Jackson, Spike Lee, Brooklyn, and a film for Michael

American Black director Spike Lee is so shaken by the death of his friend Michael that he wants to make a film for him. After the death of the King of Pop in Brooklyn, he held a birthday celebration for him that thousands attended. He then went to the city of Gary to produce a documentary film at the old, small Jackson home.

His next step is making a film titled “Brooklyn Loves Michael Jackson,” in which the prominent Black actor Samuel Jackson will play a role.

Samuel spoke at a press conference for his new film, “Mother and Child,” about his collaboration with Lee. He met with Lee one day after the Oscar ceremony over lunch to discuss his new project. It’s possible that actor Julianne Moore will play Samuel Jackson’s character’s wife in this film. Samuel and Lee’s latest work was the film “Passing Through the Forest.” Lee is also the director of Michael’s music video titled “They Don’t Care About Us” (They Don’t Care About Us).

Samuel said:

“The film is about people who want to hold a tribute concert for Michael in a city park in Brooklyn, and some wealthy neighbors are worried about issues that might arise in their residential area because of this concert. I read the script and I liked it. So I think it will go well. Spike said that after Michael’s death, his life was messed up for a long time and he was devastated.”
