A Patched Quilt Blanket: A Gift From Fans

The creators and organizers of the massive one-million-person Michael Jackson portrait project, known as MJTP (read here), are working on another project titled “Wrapped In L.O.V.E. Patchwork Blanket” (wrapped with love in a patchwork blanket). Four patchwork quilt blankets are planned to be delivered as a gift from Michael’s fans on the anniversary of his death, June 25, to his children and his mother.

The idea for this project belongs to Michelle Gould. She is one of the members of this one-million-person portrait.

Each person can join the project by paying $20 for a piece of this blanket by the first day of May. The name of the person who pays will be embroidered beautifully onto a piece of this handmade quilt. Each blanket includes 304 pieces. The full names of the payers, along with the dot number they have in the portrait, their username on the portrait website, and their country name are recorded in the form related to this blanket. This form, along with the blankets, will be given to Michael’s family. Also, members of this project can attach a postcard or a message to these gifts.

Michael’s family is in contact with the portrait website officials, and delivery of these gifts to Michael’s children and mother is guaranteed.

Michael loved his fans, and with these gifts, fans will tell Michael’s children how much they love him. When they wrap themselves in blankets lovingly made for their father, they will be surrounded by the love sent to them from all over the world.
