Another Delay in Murray’s Arrest

The prosecution announced on Friday that it would not issue the arrest warrant for Conrad Murray until Monday. This decision was announced by the prosecutor’s spokesperson two hours before Murray and his lawyers were due to appear in court. The goal of Murray’s legal team in voluntarily showing up in court was to put the prosecutor in a fait accompli situation and prevent the police from handcuffing Murray’s hands. The police, while protesting this decision, said that Murray should be taken to court with handcuffs like other defendants.
