Michael’s desire to study fine arts

One of the stories that circulated in the media after Michael’s death was his possible plan to study at university in the field of fine arts. It was said that his daughter Paris had asked him to pursue his long-held dream and study in this area.

A month before his death, Michael asked his secretary to contact the Christie educational center and the Sotheby’s Institute of Art—both based in New York—to begin his studies there starting September 2010.

Daily Star, citing a source, said Michael made this decision because of his 11-year-old daughter.

“Her confidence gave him the courage to finally contact educational art centers affiliated with well-known auction houses. The field Michael wanted to study was ‘Modern Art, Art Appreciation, and Art History.’

Michael always regretted that he hadn’t been able to pursue university studies because he had started his career at a very young age. But he made up for this lack with extensive study. He devoured art books and skills, and he was very eager to collect artworks. He had an insatiable thirst for knowledge.

People don’t know that Michael had many cultural friends. Many of his acquaintances had no connection to the entertainment and show business. Michael also wanted to be an inspiration in this way for his children.”
