Praise for Michael at the MTV Europe Awards
Michael Jackson continues to inspire and influence fans and artists. Last week, on November 5th, at the MTV Europe Music Awards held in Berlin, the Jonas Brothers introduced songs like ABC, Bad, and Man In The Mirror by “super fans,” and spoke in tribute to Michael like this:
Nick Jonas told the audience: "This year we lost the biggest pop music stars in the history of the genre. We and MTV wanted to pay tribute to the undisputed king of pop, Michael Jackson. His unmatched talent shaped the musical landscape and influenced musicians of all ages."
Joe added: "The first time we heard Michael Jackson’s voice was when our father played us the Jackson 5 song I’ll Be There. We were amazed by his incredible talent. We’re influenced by him in every way. The fact that he and his brothers came together to entertain the world has surely impacted us. Michael Jackson, with a talent never seen before, inspired every listener and singer. As a writer, singer, dancer, and showman, he was the best. Tonight we’re honored to dedicate this memorial song to him. Michael Jackson’s legacy will live on forever through his fans."
