Janet Jackson: Conrad Murray Is to Blame
Janet, who had been silent for a long time after her brother Michael’s death, told ABC in an interview that Dr. Murray was responsible for her brother’s death. Conrad Murray, a heart specialist, accepted that he administered a deadly combination of sleeping drugs to Michael, but says he is not a killer.
Janet also said she constantly thinks about Michael: "It was a hard year. It’s hard to believe. There isn’t a day that I don’t think about him."
She talked about her memory of the day Michael died on June 25 this year:
"I was at my home in New York. And I received a phone call. My assistant said they had taken your brother to the hospital. CNN is reporting it right now. I called everyone. Either they were busy or no one answered. I talked to my mother. I talked to Tito. I called my niece Austin. I talked to my sister Latoya. I told them to call me when they arrived at the hospital. And I thought to myself, why isn’t anyone calling? So I called again myself, and that’s how I found out he was no longer there... I couldn’t believe it. It didn’t feel real to me. I thought I was dreaming. It’s still hard for me to believe. But I have to accept the truth, even though it’s hard. I have to go on with life. I have to accept it, and I understand that."
