City Representative in Financial Dispute with AEG

In July of this year, a grand memorial ceremony for Michael Jackson was held at the Staples Center in the city of Los Angeles. The city representative is trying to make AEG pay compensation for the three million dollars in expenses the ceremony imposed on the city. Although it’s said that Michael gave back more than the cost of the ceremony to Los Angeles’s economy through the boost he created in the city’s market. One top official of this huge music company accuses the representative of extortion. The Los Angeles city representative claims that the Michael ceremony cost $3.2 million, of which $2 million was for police forces who continuously tried to provide security for the city.
