T.J. Martell’s Charity Tribute to Michael

T.J. Martell is a charity organization that raises funds for research studies into cancer and AIDS. The organization is celebrating the anniversary of its founding on October 28 at the Hilton New York hotel, and it will honor Michael Jackson for his humanitarian activities.

The organization was founded in 1975. T.J. Martell was the son of Tony Martell, one of the music industry’s executives. Before the son died at age 21 due to cancer, he promised his father that he would raise one million dollars to fight cancer. Since then, the organization has been able to provide $225 million for research goals.

On October 28, the organization will unveil its first-ever “Legend Award” by presenting it to Michael Jackson. During the 34 years of Michael Jackson’s lifetime with this organization, he was its most charitable and generous supporter and the largest amounts of donations came from him.
