Spike Lee’s Birthday Celebration for Michael

The director of one of Michael’s music videos, They Don’t Care About Us, will hold a birthday celebration for Michael on August 29 in the Brooklyn area of New York, and all the stars are invited.

Earlier, the birthday celebration was supposed to be held from noon until 5:00 p.m. at Fort Greene Park. But it is likely that, given the growing number of attendees, a larger location will be assigned. The organizers expect a crowd of 10,000 people. It is said that Prospect Park could be a good replacement for the current venue.

According to Spike Lee, “This will be a fun, uplifting celebration with the presence of famous people.” At the event, Michael’s songs—from the Jackson Five era to their newest tracks—will be played by DJ Spina.

He said he was hit hard by Michael’s death, and that is why he decided to hold a celebration for him. Spike Lee, who grew up by following Michael’s career and watching the Saturday morning cartoon “Jackson Five,” says that both of them come from a shared era.

“I wanted my African hairstyle to be exactly like the roundness of Michael’s hair.”

Michael and Spike Lee, the film producer and Oscar nominee, did not offer a joint project after collaborating on producing a music video in Brazil.

“In the end, we’ll sing Happy Birthday to Michael. We want to make sure he can hear us. People around the world are celebrating his birthday. But he will hear us in Brooklyn.”
