Federal agents raid a Beverly Hills pharmacy

Earlier, it was a pharmacy in Las Vegas—and now it’s one in Beverly Hills. Police investigations into Michael’s death, which has turned into a difficult and complex mystery, are continuing. On Friday, federal drug enforcement agents entered Mickey Fine Pharmacy in Beverly Hills. The inspection lasted five hours, after which the agents left the pharmacy carrying a box full of files and documents. They are looking for traces of improper and unnecessary distribution of certain drugs, such as propofol.

In January 2007, this pharmacy sued Michael for more than $100,000 in unpaid bills for medications it had dispensed to him over more than two years. The issue was resolved very quickly. The pharmacy is located in a four-story building, and coincidentally, Michael’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, also has his office in the same building. Dr. Klein is also among the doctors who have been questioned by police after Michael’s death. But on Friday, his office was not inspected.
