Seven Hundred Songs for the Thriller Album

Michael had a very, very large number of unreleased songs—beautiful tracks that no one had heard except their creators. Right now, Michael’s lawyers are negotiating with Sony to release roughly 100 unreleased songs by Michael. But Quincy Jones, the producer of the Thriller album, says that beautiful songs have been kept away from the ears of fans—and that the number of unreleased songs is much higher than this!

He said they made 700 songs for the Thriller album. Jones says they were good songs, but in the end, they selected nine of the best for the album.

Jones says he would be happy to do something to release these songs, but right now things are very unsettled and chaotic.
