Katherine Jackson Gets Full Custody of Michael’s Children

Today, Londell McMillan, the lawyer for Michael’s mother, said on CBS’s The Early Show that, based on an agreement reached between Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe, full custody of the children—Prince, Paris, and Blanket—will be with Katherine. Debbie will also have the right to visit. In this way, the court will legally grant custody to Katherine Jackson.

Prince, 12, and Paris, 11, are Michael’s children with Debbie. Up to now, they have lived with their father. In his will, Michael wrote that after his death, his mother Katherine should be the guardian of his children.

McMillan said that the basis of this agreement was the children’s best interests, not money.

“Money is not the issue. This agreement wasn’t made for money. The parties are committed to this agreement. The best option for the kids is to grow up and be raised with Mrs. Katherine Jackson’s loving care.”
