Michael’s parents completed the paperwork for probate

Believing that Michael did not have a will, Michael’s parents submitted the initial probate documents for the estates and assets of their children to the court. These documents ask the court to appoint Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, as the guardian of the affairs. However, John Branca, who has been Michael’s lawyer for years, announced that he has a will signed by Michael. It is said that Branca had only been hired again by Michael three weeks ago. Branca said that within the next 30 days he will act on the will. In 1985, Branca had offered to buy the Beatles catalog to Michael. He served as Michael’s lawyer until 2006. Following Katherine’s request, on Monday the probate judge granted her part of Michael’s assets. Katherine also asked that those assets of her child that were supposed to be sold by Michael, but were left in Neverland because she declined, be transferred to a safe place. Another request Katherine Jackson made to the court is temporary custody of Michael’s children. Joe Jackson said at his Monday press conference held outside their Encino home that the court approved the request for temporary custody. He said: "We are not trying to take custody of the children. We will have custody of them, and we already have custody of them right now." Joe, standing next to Reverend Al Sharpton, said he is very proud of his son Michael. He also added that Michael’s children are doing well and are playing at the Encino home with the other children in the family. The petition filed by Katherine states that the children (Michael Joseph Jr., known as Prince Michael I, age 12, and Paris Michael Katherine, age 11) have no relationship with their mother (Debbie Row), but that for years they have been in close contact with their grandmother, Katherine, and feel comfortable with her. In the court document, the date of birth of Michael’s third child, Prince Michael II, is listed as February 21, 2002, and in the section for the mother’s name it says: none. It is also said that according to the court documents, a notice will be sent to Debbie Row, the mother of Michael’s two older children. A hearing for this case has been scheduled for July 6 and August 3. Debbie Row’s lawyer said: "Right now, Mrs. Row is only thinking about how devastated the Michael family is that they lost Michael. Mrs. Row wants the Michael family, especially her children, to be protected from the controversial and harmful media harassment and stalking, so they can say goodbye in peace to the person they loved." On Monday, Michael’s father said they have not yet made a decision about the funeral and are waiting for the final announcement regarding the definite cause of their son’s death; they want to hold a ceremony worthy of him. Joe, however, said that Michael’s body will not be buried at Neverland, his former home, contrary to rumors. McMillan, Michael’s former lawyer who has recently been hired again by Katherine Jackson, says that Michael’s death is ambiguous for his family. He adds that Michael was healthy enough that he wanted to hold 50 nights of concerts. Regarding whether the Jackson family is suspicious about Michael’s death, he said that using such harsh words means announcing charges against people. Michael’s doctor’s lawyer, Conrad Murray, has rejected any responsibility for Michael’s death. Murray said he never injected strong painkillers like Demerol into Michael, and if he gave him any pain medication, it was done at Michael’s personal request. Conrad Murray, who was at Michael’s bedside at the moment of his death and had tried to bring him back to life, announced that the night before Michael’s death and/or on the day of his death, no dangerous drugs were injected into his body.
