Rio Ferdinand and Supporting Michael
Rio Ferdinand, a star of the Manchester United football team, received a phone call from the King of Pop during the launch ceremony of his internet magazine, "Five".
Michael Jackson had called to congratulate him on founding his internet magazine and to wish him success. The magazine’s name comes from Rio’s jersey number in the Manchester United team.
After returning to the year of the interview, Ferdinand said:
"When I hung up the phone, I was shaking. It was a real surprise. I hope that in the next editions of the magazine, I’ll have an interview with him. He invited me to one of his concerts in London so I could go backstage and talk with him about it.
The first album I ever bought was BAD (Michael Jackson’s 1987 album), and it tells all of this. Who would have thought that one day I might meet him?"
