On Monday, Michael Jackson’s spokesperson and manager, Dr. Tohme, released the following statement in response to rumors about Michael’s illness that have been circulating in the media: "Regarding the claims of this author (Ian Halperin), I must say that we hope the media will not, in the future, exploit the obvious efforts of such people to promote an unauthorized biography book. The author’s wild claims about Mr. Jackson’s health are completely fabricated and false. Mr. Jackson is in good health and is currently in the final stages of negotiations with a major production company and television network in order to hold a world tour, a series of special programs, and to appear in them."
