November 30, 2003 – The father of the child at the center of the allegations denies this
NBC’s NBC Network Four website reports that the lawyer of the 12-year-old child, who is at the center of Jackson’s new allegations, gave an interview to the media last Thursday. H. Russell Halper told reporters that his client believes the child’s mother lacks the necessary qualifications, and he believes his son was not a victim of a major pop star. "If she placed her child in a location where there was a risk of harm, or if, in general, this whole matter is a lie and she encouraged the child to make false allegations, then in any case this shows that she is not fit." The child, whose allegations against Jackson describe him as a victim of sexual abuse, appeared in a British documentary program. His parents have separated. A while ago, the boy’s mother, speaking to an English newspaper, had not said anything negative about Jackson. She said, "At no time has my son seen anything from Michael except love, respect, and the deepest affection."
