A statement from Michael

10:13 a.m. - Stuart Backerman, Michael Jackson’s official spokesperson, has released the following statement on behalf of Michael:

To the truly most extraordinary fans in the whole wide world,

Below is our response to the media, on Michael’s behalf. We will not stop trying until the world finally realizes that MJ is a real, caring human being. While I try not to get overly emotional, I want to say that I’m honored to be in touch with all of you... God bless you.

The cruel allegations against Michael Jackson are false. Michael has never, in any way, abused a child. The lies behind these insults and completely baseless allegations will be proven in court. Of course, the consequences of these matters upset everyone who hears them—and that is exactly the point.

We are very upset and hurt by the vulgar environment and the style surrounding this statement of these allegations. When the witnesses come forward and it is proven that the allegations are made out of hostility and are completely baseless, Michael will be able to get through this nightmare.

Through his lawyers, Michael has arranged preliminary steps with Mark Geragos with the judicial authorities so that he can be returned to Santa Barbara to face the allegations quickly and prove that they are unfounded.
