”Two Takes” Draws Even More English Viewers
A documentary program about Michael Jackson, made in response to a program prepared by Martin Bashir, was broadcast last night on Channel Five in England, attracting another 2.4 million viewers to their TV sets. In its first airing last week on Sky One, the program also had more than 2 million viewers. In its second showing, one out of every ten TV viewers watched the program, and it was even more popular than other hit programs that were aired at the same time on Channels Four and BBC2. ITV tried to counter it by re-airing the program ”Life with Michael Jackson” at the same time. That program, which was broadcast for the fourth time on ITV2, had only 62,000 viewers.
