Michael’s response, “Part Two: The Take”

Fox in America announced that it intends to air a two-hour special on Thursday, 1 Esfand, titled "Michael Jackson, Part Two: The Interview They Won’t Show You."

Angry at the way he was portrayed by Martin Bashir, using images recorded by Bashir’s own cameraman, Michael stepped forward. These images were taken during the eight-month period when Bashir was with him and filmed him and his family for use in the special program "Life with Michael Jackson."

Michael’s spokesperson said that these new images "clearly show that Bashir was constantly praising Michael’s abilities as a father in reality and making statements about how bad he feels that the world criticizes Michael so quickly." Other reports indicate that the program also includes a recent interview with Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael’s two older children, in which she speaks about her role in the family and her views of Michael as a father.

Fox announced that its special includes no new interviews with Michael, and that its network was chosen for the reason that it is the network that offers the program most similar to Michael’s viewpoint. Three other major U.S. networks were also interested in airing the special.

It was said that Michael was preparing for an interview with the 60 Minutes program on CBS at the end of last week, but Ed Bradley, the reporter for the show, left Neverland Valley Ranch (Michael’s private home) without any interview because Michael did not agree to the proposal.
