Michael files complaints with the broadcast regulators in England
Michael has set up cases for complaints regarding the special program "Life with Michael Jackson," which was shown worldwide last week, to present to two English television oversight companies. Michael’s legal advisers prepared the complaints to submit to the "Independent Television Commission" (ITC) and the "Broadcasting Standards Committee" (BSC), in which they stated that the program "treated Michael unfairly," and that this was an invasion of his privacy.
According to a recent article in the Associated Press, the complaint sent to the ITC states that the documentary "indirectly clearly implies that Mr. Jackson is guilty due to inappropriate behavior with children." The complaint also says that the on-screen statements, the questions, and the way the program was edited were intended to lend credibility to the rumors about him in 1372.
In the complaint submitted to the BSC, Michael said that at the beginning of the process he was not warned about Martin Bashir’s intention to interview him about the rumors from 1372 or about questions regarding the legality of his current friendship with children. Michael also announced that his own children were also portrayed incompletely, and that he was not allowed to watch the documentary the way they had promised him.
