Trial for Two Men Accused of Illegal Filming of Michael in November 2003
The head of a jet aircraft rental company and his partner were found by a jury to be eligible for trial, accused of illegally filming Michael and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, in November 2003 on an aircraft flying from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara.
The charges against Jeffrey Borer and Arvel Jett Reeves involve installing microphones and cameras inside the jet and attempting to sell the recorded audio and video of Michael and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, to a television network in November 2003.
Reeves was also accused of forcing a member of the plane’s crew to give false testimony claiming that the camera was installed for the purpose of identifying the person who stole alcohol from the plane.
Michael’s defense attorney claimed that the two defendants had tried to sell the footage of his client for the price of one and a half million dollars to a television network.
This footage is currently in the hands of the FBI.
