Session Fifty-Two — Testimony from One of Michael’s Relatives Based on Seeing the Accuser and His Brother

May

Today, one of Michael Jackson’s 16-year-old relatives testified in court that he had once, in the late hours of the night, seen the 13-year-old accuser and his 12-year-old brother leaving the large kitchen at Neverland while each held a bottle of alcohol.

This teenage girl said that at around 1:00 a.m. on the third day of March 2003, she had been in one corner of the large Neverland kitchen playing a video when the two brothers entered, took two bottles of alcohol from the kitchen.

“They didn’t see me. The accuser’s brother took two glasses and a bottle of alcohol, and the accuser himself only took one bottle of alcohol.”

Simone continued that after the brothers realized she was in the kitchen, she had warned them that they shouldn’t do that, and the two brothers told her to say nothing.

Simone Jackson was the first of Michael’s relatives to be called to testify in his favor.

She said she had seen the accuser and his brother drinking alcohol in February and March 2003, at a time when Michael was not at Neverland.

Simone also said that during the three days she had stayed at Neverland in March 2003, she had accompanied the accuser’s sister as well. She said the accuser’s sister had said they were going to travel to Brazil, and their mother was very happy about it.

In court, the accuser’s mother had stated that Michael’s employees intended to force them to go to Brazil despite their wishes.

Before Simone Jackson was called to the witness stand, Irene Peters, a social services worker, testified that she had once met with the accuser and his family, and that while praising Michael Jackson, they had rejected any wrongdoing on his part.

Irene Peters mentioned the date of that meeting as February 20, 2003, after the documentary television segment “Living with Michael Jackson.” That is, exactly at the time when the prosecutor and the accuser’s family claimed they were being held at Neverland.

In this documentary, Michael says he allowed the accuser to sleep in his room.

Peters said:

“I asked him (the accuser) whether Michael Jackson had ever sexually mistreated him. He became upset and said that everyone thinks Michael sexually abused me. He never touched me.”

Peters stated that the accuser had told her that Michael Jackson “was very kind to him and treated him like a father.”

She added that she had interviewed the accuser’s mother, sister, and brother separately as well, and that all of them had praised Michael. She said that even the accuser’s mother had credited Michael as the reason her son’s cancer illness had improved.

Peters admitted that the accuser’s mother had told her she felt upset about the accusations being made against Michael because Michael treated the children more like a father than their real father.

Instead of running away from Neverland, the accuser’s mother had even wanted the interview to be conducted there.

According to Peters’s testimony, the accuser’s mother had told her that “Michael is like a father to his children,” and then added that she believed Michael was responsible for her sick son’s health improving.

Peters said:

“I asked him whether his children had ever slept in Michael Jackson’s room, and he said that sometimes they slept at home or in the bedroom and even on Michael’s bed, and he said he trusted Michael.”

In response to questions from Thomas Mesereau, Peters said the family had never mentioned anything about being held at Neverland.

Peters said that the accuser’s mother had shown her a video of her son and Michael walking around the Neverland lake and looking at the swans. Peters added that the accuser’s mother intended, through this, to show them how kind and loving Michael was.

This interview took place the day after Michael Jackson’s employees recorded an interview with the accuser’s family.

In court, the accuser’s family claimed they had been imprisoned at Neverland and forced to do that interview.

They also said that the statements made in the interview had been prepared by Michael Jackson’s employees.

Walker, Irene Peters’s assistant, also said the accuser’s mother was very talkative and had not hidden anything.

Peters also said that once, by chance, she had met the accuser’s family at a restaurant, and they had not mentioned any sexual abuse or being held at Neverland.

The accuser’s mother also pointed out that Michael intended to send them on a trip to Brazil, but she had no interest in that trip.

Based on Peters’s statements in court, the accuser’s mother had described Brazil as a “dump.”
