Session Fifty-Three — Testimony from Another of Michael’s Relatives Based on Seeing the Accuser

May

Another of Michael Jackson’s relatives testified in court today.

Rijo Jackson, in the witness stand, said he had seen the accuser and his brother carrying out sexual acts.

Rijo is Simone Jackson’s brother, who testified the day before that in February and March 2003 he had seen the accuser and his brother drinking alcohol in Michael’s absence.

Rijo, who was 10 years old at the time, said from the witness stand:

“I saw that they (the 13-year-old accuser and his 12-year-old brother) were watching one of the vulgar television channels and doing dirty things.”

When Thomas Mesereau, the defense attorney, asked him what he meant by “dirty things,” Rijo replied that “both of them were doing sexual acts.”

Rijo added: “They told me why I wasn’t doing it. And I said I don’t want to do it because it’s dirty.”

He continued that after this incident, he had informed Michael about the program the boys were watching on television.

“He (Michael) didn’t believe it. He thought they were good boys and wouldn’t do that.”

Prosecutor Ron Zonen then asked him whether he had also told Michael anything about the sexual acts of the accuser and his brother. In response, Rijo said he was afraid to tell Michael anything about it.

He also said that during his stay at Neverland in February and March 2003—at the very time when the accuser’s family claimed they were being held at Neverland—the accuser and his brother stole some money from the Neverland head chef, and also took items from the Neverland office.

Rijo added that he had seen the accuser and his brother take bottles of alcohol to the upper floor of Michael’s room in Michael’s absence.

He said that while Michael was in the bathroom, Angel Vivanco brought a bottle of alcohol that had a cork on it to Michael’s room, and the two brothers asked him to let them take the bottle of alcohol to the upper floor of Michael’s room.

Rijo continued that when he later saw the bottle of alcohol, the cork had been removed and half of it had been emptied.

The accuser and his brother, who are now 15 and 14 years old, had testified that Michael gave them alcoholic drinks and showed them vulgar magazines.

Vernee Watson, an actress and the next witness in today’s court session, also said that in 2000, when she was involved in collecting financial help to cover the medical expenses for the accuser, who had cancer, she had become suspicious of her mother.

Christian Robinson also testified from the witness stand that the accuser’s mother and children seemed completely comfortable during the filming of the second part of the documentary “Living with Michael Jackson,” and they were very talkative.

Robinson said:

“She (the accuser’s mother) talked a lot. She talked about Michael and how the father is a very good father for his children. She wanted to defend Michael.”

“She called Michael a healer and said how lucky it was that God brought Michael into their lives.”

In the documentary, the accuser’s family praises Michael and says that he is like a father to them.

Robinson also testified that the accuser’s family was not pressured to take part in this film, and had attended of their own free will. He also said that no script or text had been written for the accuser’s family.

In court, the accuser’s family had said that they read the statements made in the film from a text that Jackson’s employees had written for them.

At the end of the court session, Thomas Mesereau announced that he would likely finish working on this case within the next week.
