Michael Jackson’s Doctor Says He Was Delayed in Court

Dr. Bert Weiner, who accompanied Michael Jackson on the day he arrived late to court, said in an exclusive interview with Inside Edition that the pressure from the court caused emotional harm to the King of Pop, and that, as far as he knows, Jackson is not pretending about this.

“For me, there’s no doubt that this is a real situation and it has nothing to do with his avoiding attending his court sessions.”

On March 21, Michael Jackson was taken to the hospital due to severe back pain, instead of going to court. Weiner, his treating physician, said about Michael’s delay that day in court:

“They didn’t expect to be in court on time. So they asked me to go with them and explain to the judge how urgent the situation was. I went directly to the judge’s table and swore testimony along with them.”

Weiner did not reveal details of Michael Jackson’s physical condition, but said that Michael was taking medication under a doctor’s supervision because of his back pain.

“That’s enough for him to be able to get through this difficult period, until this condition resolves itself.”
