Death of a Former Core Member of Michael’s Security Team
Bill Bray, a former core member of Michael’s security team, died at the age of eighty. Bill Bray, who had previously been a Los Angeles police officer, began his career in the early 1970s with the Jackson 5. His relationship with Michael gradually turned into a father-and-son bond. Until his retirement in the mid-1990s, he remained Michael’s closest and most trusted advisor.

Michael’s spokesperson, in announcing her condolences for Bill Bray’s death, said: “Michael was very deeply affected by hearing the news of Bill Bray’s passing, who was his friend and longtime advisor.”
Bain said that Michael, who is currently in Bahrain, spoke with Bray’s family by phone.
