New Video for the Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury Collaboration

David LaChapelle, the renowned music video director, has created a powerful new video for the Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury collaboration "There Must Be More to Life Than This." Ukrainian ballet dancer Sergei Polunin performs in the video. The 51-year-old director also features Australian model Jessica Gomes in the video. mjchrist-tmbmtltt-video.jpg On the left of the image above is LaChapelle's artwork titled "American Jesus," which depicts Michael Jackson as a martyr cradled in the arms of Christ, and on the right is a war martyr played by Sergei Polunin, who has fallen into an eternal sleep in the arms of his love, played by Jessica Gomes. The video opens with a scene of soldiers being killed in battle. A soldier rises from death in a dream of reaching love and peace — but... Jessica Gomes spoke about the song: "When I first heard it, I was moved to tears listening to these two legends sing together and hearing Michael's voice. I love this song and I'm honored to have been part of this special film. The song carries a deep and timeless meaning. It truly is an honor to appear in the video for a Michael Jackson and Queen song, directed by David LaChapelle and featuring world-renowned ballet dancer Sergei Polunin." Watch the video on YouTube. It is worth noting that LaChapelle was discovered by Andy Warhol at the age of 17. He has photographed many artists, from Michael Jackson to Angelina Jolie, and over the years has had a significant influence on popular culture. Source: eMJey.com / Daily Mail
